My "Through the Seasons" collection comprises of four sessions across the year. Each session/season comes with a mini keepsake video, 5 digital images of your selection, and 5 bonus detail images chosen by me (which might include shots like the back of the head, scene-setting, and side profiles). At the year's end, your images will be presented in a 10x10 album, alongside your video and images stored on a USB.
I had the pleasure of joining Arron, Lucy, their dog Jax, and both parents for our first session of the four seasons during April for Spring.
With vibrant daffodils in full bloom, the Spring backdrop set the stage for the two kids as they enjoyed games of tag, hide and seek, and a spirited round of fetch with their furry family member, Jax. Arron's enthusiasm for climbing trees was also a highlight during our time together.
In August, our Summer session took us deeper into the woods, where the excitement of exploration awaited. Mum's foresight in packing the kids' wellingtons allowed us to embrace a little messiness and whole lot of fun.
Arron and his trusty companion Jax created quite the dynamic duo as they gleefully splashed about in the little river, surrounded by such towering trees. Even after a minor stumble over some rocks, Arron's spirits were quickly restored after some comfort from mum.
The children's energy was so contagious as they raced around, playing a fast favourite during our time together, hide and seek. Then, not to be outdone, Arron ambitiously aimed for the world's biggest jump, attempting to leap from one side of the grass over the pathway to the other—an adventure in itself.
In November, our Autumn session unfolded against a backdrop of breathtaking tree colours—it’s a season that truly enchants me as a photographer.
Among the many highlights was sight of two white horses, accompanied by their riders. Arron and Lucy's excitement was palpable as they witnessed this unexpected wonder. Both kids also played pretend, crafting magic potions with leaves and sticks they stumbled upon. Then had great fun kicking the leaves into the air and savouring their satisfying crunch.
A game of hide and seek was inevitable and Arron took it to new heights, finding clever hiding spots both within and up trees. As our session drew to a close, the trees bathed in a radiant golden light, creating an absolutely stunning atmosphere that was captured in the final moments of the video below.
For our Autumn session, mum brought along rain suits, sparking a lively round of puddle jumping for the kids. Arron and Lucy radiated pure joy as they gleefully splashed through puddles amidst the autumn leaves. Arron's hands-on approach to mud was evident as he immersed himself in playful exploration.
As the third session of the year, it was clear that the kids were growing more comfortable around me. Arron invited me to an imaginative game of superheroes, where we engaged in spirited chase sequences, complete with his impressive super moves. Not to be outdone, Lucy showcased her singing talents with a rendition of rain rain go away. The video below captures the spirited puddle jumping and all the delightful moments shared during our time together.
Radiating smiles during our Winter session, Arron and Lucy embraced warmth and adventure dressed nice and cosy, unfazed by the chilly air that defines this season.
They ran, leaped, engaged in playful antics and struck poses with such enthusiasm. Additionally, I had the pleasure of capturing some lovely moments as mum received heartfelt hugs from the kids. Jax the dog also discovered a sizeable stick he eagerly claimed and tried to take home.
After all four sessions, mum and dad opted for this lovely mini canvas set, showcasing the kids through each season. Transforming cherished moments into timeless art, perfect for adorning any space.
